The National School Foundation Association, Inc. (NSFA), the charitable PreK-12 scholarship partner of the National Association of Education Foundations (NAEF), is building an affordable national network of locally led Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). Together, we are creating a model that expands scholarship access and helps public school students benefit from the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit (FSTC).
Your community leads the work. NSFA provides the formation resources, national structure, software, training, and shared standards to help your SGO get established and serve students.
Local Leadership, National Support, Shared Accountability
A chartered affiliate is a separately incorporated local nonprofit that participates as a subordinate organization within NSFA’s national group tax exempt structure with the IRS. It has its own name, EIN, board, community relationships, and local operations. Its leadership directs fundraising, oversees scholarship decisions, and manages its resources within applicable law and NSFA’s charter requirements.
